English and Irish teacherI am a native English speaker from Ireland. I came to Helsinki to study for nine months, but fell in love with the city and am still here five years later. I have been teaching English for a number of years, and have taught people of different ages (both children and adults), having different levels of knowledge of English. I also teach the basics of the Irish language.
I began learning the Finnish language when I first arrived in Finland, and I can speak Finnish. The experience of learning a language as an adult has helped me understand the difficulties involved and this has influenced my teaching methods. I like to make my lessons relaxed and enjoyable, as I believe this is the best way to learn to speak a language.
