Language Courses Language instruction for your company
It is important in today's global business environment that communication with colleagues and customers is fluent. Advanced language skills are valuable. So investing in those skills can have a significant effect on a company's success.
At the Language Menu we are able to help your company's employees reach their desired level of skill or maintain the level they have already achieved, including reactivating dormant speaking skills.
The Language Menu strives to offer a modern, effective, high-quality, and multifaceted program of language learning to each of our customers.
Course planning, execution, and reporting
Proper planning is a key to successful learning. A well-planned, well-executed language course offers every participant the chance to learn another language, to acquire new skills or to hone existing skills, either written or spoken.
We begin by doing a language skills needs analysis for your company. The analysis includes both measuring current language skills and determining desired proficiency levels. Using this information we draft a course plan which addresses the needs and wishes of those who will participate in the language training.
The scope and shape of the language training always reflect customer needs and wishes, as does the choice of the instructor. We agree on these details with the customer so that the course as a whole will achieve the desired results.
Instruction in conversation groups focuses on acquiring fluency and reinforcing effective communicative behaviours. Our teaching methods emphasize functional communication, the ability to use language in any given situation. So course participants practice language in a variety of applicable situations, both work-related and social. Additional help with reading and writing skills take place as homework outside the meeting times.
We prepare a post-course analysis as well, at the customers request. The analysis summarizes the topics covered in the course, the situations practiced, the materials used, the individual activity level of each participant, participant progress, and suggestions for further study/training.
The Language Menu also provides a brief monthly attendance report.
Your courses take place either on your companys premises or at some other suitable location.
