Orientation of Foreigners into the Finnish Way of Life
For many foreigners, moving to Finland is a cultural shock not only because of the climate, but also because of our way of life. Immigrants living in Finland on a permanent basis should be encouraged to integrate into their new home country.
The aim of Learnwell Oy’s eX-pat service is to provide immigrants living in Finland with sufficient skills to cope with everyday routines. Our Finnish and Swedish teachers help foreigners integrate into the Finnish society by providing them with information on how to attend to their own affairs in Finland.
Our eX-pat service helps foreigners with:

the paperwork at KELA (Social Insurance Institution of Finland)

getting a driving licence or identity card

bills and other mail

finding a flat or buying one

going to the pharmacy or shopping

… and many other things that need to be done when you settle down in a foreign country
Everything is hard at the beginning and they are happy to receive any help they can get. In this way they will be able to play an active part in their own life and future. Our Finnish and Swedish teachers help foreigners integrate into the Finnish society by providing them with information on how to attend to their own affairs in Finland.
It is also important for foreigners to learn the differences between the values, norms and attitudes of their own and Finnish culture, as this will help them to adjust to life in Finland. They will become independent and self-motivated.
